Test Equipment Design Engineering Intern Jan - June 2023 At Tesla, I worked for the Cell Qualification department, which is responsible for the research, development of the innovative battery cells that power every Tesla vehicle. Our hardware team was comprised of 5 mechanical engineers and 2 mechanical interns. Our team designs custom test equipment for cell researchers. This custom equipment includes cell cycling towers, thermal chamber towers, and other test apparatus, where there aren't applicable off-the-shelf options.
